Here's the link for Hoffman, it has an attendance map on it.
Profile : Hoffmann : Northside Independent School District - San Antonio, TX 78238
Pretty much all the neighborhoods in the AR area will be going to Hoffman next year, as well as a few of the surrounding areas. What the new boundaries will do remains to be seen. But I'd guess that those in the DR area and West of that would go to the new ES. So, hypothetically, a child could be at Ward now, move to Hoffman this fall, and then move to the new school in the fall of 2011. (If they are now in the Hoffman boundary, they wouldn't stay at Ward until the new ES opens.)
I'm just waiting with MUCH anticipation about the boundaries for Brennan HS!!!

I thought maybe the parents could keep their kids in Ward, then send them to Westwinds, instead of moving three schools in 4 years time...

Nope. Policy is that if the boundaries change, the kids move schools (with exceptions of like Senior in HS or going into 8th grade). One of the gambles of moving into a newer/developing area. And like you mentioned about the sales person ~ it's one of the things they sure aren't going to explain. Heck, a lot of them were even saying "we're going to have brand new schools right here in the neighborhood" before the bond even passed!
And also, logically, the boundaries won't even be finished for the new "Westwinds ES" before school starts in the fall, sooooooooo....... There's actually quite a bit of info on NISD's website about boundary changes. Good reading. (Well, ok, kinda boring but it interests me. )

I guess moving around to three brand-new $20 million schools isn't too bad.
The sales person was making up stories about DR owning AR and there was mention of private investors not able to buy.

Those sales people always try to lie themselves into a sale ! When we started to look at AR area this sales person was dead set on selling us a specific ready-to-move-in home. She wanted us to apply and move in within a couple of weeks!!! When we would begin asking her questions on the possiblilty of us getting a certain model built, she would brush off the question and change the subject. We ended up leaving pretty angry. We finally decided that WE were the ones in charge and went back asked her for specifics and we are now waiting for our house to be completed. She was lucky that we fell in love with the alamo ranch area and that we were dead set on living there.

Sales people suck everywhere. The question is, would you rather be a home builder salesperson, or a telemarketer?

I am building with Pulte in the DeZavala neighborhood. It has been an awesome experience but we just had to put our foot down in order to get what we wanted. It's all good now. I really love the fact that pulte has that great recreational area with the waterslide, b-ball court, and soccer fields.

Yep, I live in Pulte and it was worth the hassle. Like I was saying before, we had a similar experience where we knew what we wanted and just put up with the Pulte folks. Sounds like you have it under control. WELCOME ! If you have little ones and need a playgroup, my wife has one you could join.
