Sorry, I do not have a picture...
I have seen this large, 8 story building when I go to Papouli's Greek restaurant on Huebner/I10- the road is 'Expo Blvd'. The building looks very nice-like a hotel, high rise condos...
It drives me nuts seeing this building empty. Maybe a builder went bankrupt? It looks done. I went to the windows to look in-it just looks like an empty, finished building!
Anybody know its story? Just curious...Thx

Deep forest-yes that is it! But as Adtobias said, that article was written in 2008! I also found that article after I asked my question. It is such a beautiful building! I found something about a company from another country owning it, but that was about all.
Seems like a retirement community would have been welcomed in SA! Maybe it is not in a good area for retirees like the communities in Alamo Heights areas... Just curious.
Thanks so much

And your point ?? It appears nothing has changed since then either. The OP was only asking for some background on it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Have always regarded that building as blocky and ugly!

It's like a commie block and faux Art Deco tower had a late term abortion.
