Anyway, the Good Earth tea that you can sometimes find in the store is what they served there (SO good!) and they had the BEST, I mean BEST veggie burger ever! They called it the Small Planet Burger and it was divine! MMmmmmmmmmm!!!! That is one chain I would love to see revived!!!
So yeah, group trip to Green!!! If we could do it when school gets out, we could all go down there, and then go to HemisFair park, or the Children's Museum, or the Witte, or anything/everything! Could be fun!
And you working mom's MUST call in "sick" and join us!!! Ya gotta have a sick day or something, right????? Please????????

I have yet to go to Hemisfair Park, the children's museum OR the Witte - I would love an outing like that! Plus, all the kids could entertain one another enought that we could actually squeeze in some real, grownup conversation!

I've been to all three. I think it also depends on the weather. It might be too hot for the park if the kids are small. Mine is 3, and I get pretty protective of him being out if it's too hot. The Children's museum is supposed to have a Brio train exhibit there and my son would LOVE THAT! Let's seriously plan something. When would be a good time?

My son is 11, but he loves the little ones, and they usually love him, too. Are y'all OK with that?

Well, since we'd like to include older kids - it would have to wait until later in June......Let's come up with a plan at the Meet and Greet, maybe.....
Sapphire - of course your little guy would be welcome - My oldest daughter LOVES boys (most of her friends are boys....) I agree with Mojokitty about the heat - my youngest is only 9 mos. so I'm pretty careful about her overheating....

And I don't think you should tease the longhorns in the parking lot. I'm just warning you....)
If you can't tell by now, I LOVE food!!

Based on this recommendation, my wife and I tried Cowcatchers last night and sir, based on your recommendation, I shall rep you as often as possible for the rest of my life. 2" ribeye cooked perfectly (which is rare), fried jalapenos the size of my face, great atmosphere and staff.
Kudos to you, sir!!! Great find!

North Side Eating
Kirby's, hands down. Pricey. And good to the last drop. Can't wait for boss's dinner meeting again next quarter. All I can say is King Crab Legs and a steak. Most stocked bar in town. Lots of wine if you're into that. We had our own room with a flat screen TV and finished with cigars and port.
Godai for sushi if you can get in, it stays pretty busy. I like to sit at the bar and drink sake and watch them make everything. Then you can just order what you like when you see it. Call in to go also.
Tre Trattoria and Paesanos for decent Italian. Tre is still having growing pains but they're on the right track. Paesanos actually offers a pot roast covered in flat pasta, cheese, and sauce. I don't mind a little tredmill time for that plate of sheer joyful yummyness.
I'll do Chuy's for Mexican even though the service is TERRIBLE. The chips, salsa, and queso are a force to be reckoned with. La Hacienda is great for Sunday, fast, cheap but worth every penny food.
Freddy's for dirty sloppy yummy burgers. Ask for extra napkins.

Thai Dee Restaurant
5307 Blanco Rd
San Antonio, TX 78216
Phone: (210) 342-3622
I've traveled all around the U.S. and never before did I know such a great restaurant was located in my own town. It's the best homemade tasting, high quality, hole-in-the-wall, Thai food I've ever had.
It sets a new standard for all other restaurants. The service, the presentation, and even the reputation are all leveraged incredibly high.
I ordered an egg-roll appetizer (pretty cliche, yet the best I'd ever had). I've had homemade Korean and Filipino before, and this tasted just as fresh. Warm and compelling. Soothing all over the body.
For a soup I had a Wanton soup, the waitress recommended lemons and I was so busy with my appetizer I didn't know what condiments to get. It was a great choice.
My friend ordered the Thai Coffee, while I got the Thai Tea. They're served in long glasses with cream at the top. Extremely delicious, they were like desserts.
By the time my main entree arrived, the Lemon Grass Chicken with Jasmine Rice, I was already completed satisfied. The main course was exceptional. I had to take most of it home because it was so much.
Overall, the quality of service for the low prices are almost unbelievable for such an awe-inspiring and delicious restaurant.
I've never left such a large tip before in my life.
Cons:
Interesting location, and a horrible parking lot. Nothing a little, and well deserved, expansion couldn't resolve.

For Sushi:
I recommend "Samurai Sushi" off of Babcock and Wurzbach. They serve large samples for a low price, my favorite Sushi place in town!

Glad you enjoyed it! I really don't want to see this place fail as the food is just sooo good there.
