Curious about what GRIT turns out to be...presume it's a sub-channel of Univision. Noticed that when I added 41.1 to my OTA lineup so I could see World Cup, I also got 41.2 (Get-TV) aka the "old man channel"....as evidenced by ad content (walk-in tubs, reverse mortgage, prostate pills). Guessing that GRIT ads will be heavy on Viagra and Testosterone supplements!

They're running John Wayne movies this week if that gives you any indication.

I don't know if you own a roku or other streaming device, but there is a good group on FB called stream city cord cutters that has a lot of good info as far as how to watch the shows you want. :-)

Cool. I saw the Escape channel appear, but it was just black, not like GRIT which was all John Wayne promos. Good to know what it actually is.

I use Roku boxes (three of them) on all our TVs. We will watch Netflix and Hulu or stream stuff from my computer with Plex or Chromecast.

I do use an antenna for OTA but I cannot get ABC/KSAT. I thought I read somewhere that they had turned down their broadcast strength to save money or something, I don't know if that is true. Anyway, I don't watching Dancing with the Stars so I don't sweat it too much. I get NBC, CBS and Fox fine. And 100 spanish stations and 50 bible stations.

ION ota 26.1 has disappeared for me. Victim of lower power ?? Watching GRIT right now. A lot of action movies but the 4:3 aspect ratio seems skewed. Everything seems "squished". IDK. That's on most movies on that channel. No such issue on GET TV.

KSAT (ABC) is a High-Band VHF channel, as is KLRN (PBS). Are you getting KLRN? If so, then you probably already have a VHF-capable antenna. You need a combination UHF/VHF antenna to get all the stations in San Antonio. Some markets only have UHF broadcast stations, so not all antennas are made to receive VHF.

There is also KCWX (channels 2.1 & 2.2), but that's a Low-Band VHF channel, and it transmits from the Fredericksburg area. That one is really tough to pull in, without a large rooftop antenna.
