No need to be all offended. It's a great place for most types of water related recreation, just sucks for swimming.

Maybe at the spot you tried. We anchor at one of the coves and jump in. We all have a great time or used to. I hope it comes all the way back.

Personnally, I can't wait to get up there. I was really happy to have a lake nearby when I moved here in 2012, until I went there. My girls loved it for all of the "treasures" they kept finding but they'll be happier to go swimming.

You have to bear in mind that the watershed for this lake is VERY limited. It was never intended to be a potable water supply, but rather a reservoir for agricultural use, and not for nearly as many acres as it now serves.
