Meat Emergency - San Antonio Boricuas HELP!
Can someone tell me where I can get "pernil" in all of San Antonio?
How about pasteles? Does anyone here sell their own home-made ones?
Your fellow Boricua,

Have you tried calling Culebra Meat Market, or the Bohlners Meat Market? They would both probably be able to get you in a specialty cut like that.

My good friend and Puerto Rican on here...Purtex...can probably send you some of the dozens of pasteles he has in his freezer that his Mom sends him constantly...LOL...
And as was mentioned in the above post, Culebra Meat Market should be able to 'customize' your meat emergency order for you!!

Man, am I glad you posted a picture of what you were looking for...it sounds like those little chocolate things with the white sprinkles on it that you get at the movies!!! And I thought the second one was those little green puff mints that melt in your mouth....but now you have me wanting to try something new!

PLEASE ask him if he would sell me some. I'm dead serious. I'm having a serious panic-rican attack here. My mom too. We are desperate.
DM me so we can arrange a pickup. No cops okay?

Oh, glad you've been there too.
I'm so glad that Super Target sells green bananas "TOSTONES"!! I think I mentioned these to Paka at the last M&G.

Is the meat to make lechon? I am half filipina and my aunt and I make lechon in our rotisserie thingie ma jig. She calls that part of the meat something else, I can't remember. I would call her, but she just left for the Philippines for the holidays. Anyway, I have purchased mine at Walmart and HEB.
