Where to see Christmas lights?
Does anyone know a good place in San Antonio to drive and look at Christmas lights. I remember 10 or 15 years ago driving to an area north of George Road off of NW Military Hwy. That was supposed to be a good place. Actually, I don't know if it really was or if it just happened to be the closest to my family at the time.
Personally, I like the older neighborhoods where the lights aren't so extravagant. So maybe I'm asking the wrong question.

Incarnate Word College Campus. You can drive it or walk it. I highly reccomend walking, at least part of it. It always puts me in the Christmas spirit, even wearing shorts and tee shirt, and hankerin for that Margarita on the riverwalk afterwards.
The riverwalk adds to the spirit...or maybe it's the margarita.

There used to be a place out in Boerne, I think, that was a drive through one. There used to be some long lines to get in there. Is that still around?

That place in Boerne was called "Follow the Star" (I think) but it has closed down. That was a really neat place.

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to check out Windcrest. Someone else told me about ICU also. (I drove through the area on NW Military and there was nothing.)

Shavano Creek is absolutely incredible. It is at the intersection of Huebner and Lockhill Selma. Just beautiful...house after house of classic lighting. No ridiculous yard art. If you love white lights with classic styling on million dollar homes head for this non gated north side neighborhood.
