No it is not. However - when developed - the entranced was designed such that it could easily be converted to a gated community. I suspect that will happen after it is completed and turned over to the residence to control the HOA.

Default Phase Inspection

Highly recommended first before the slap is poured. Second before the walls are closed and third upon completion. Pay per trip. Make sure to request digitiall photo's for yourself and lender when the report is sent. Even though the builder may have his own inspector you are urged to hire your own inspector. Questions to ask: Are they licensed? Length of time in business and if carry E&O insurance.

There has been a lot of work going on in the Quarry lately. Building activity has really picked up with more sold signs going on empty lots. I try to go out several times a week during lunch and have been impressed to see city inspectors there every day. I spoke to by construction manager and he said they work very closely with the city during all phases of construction. I still recommend anyone that might be interested in seeing what KB is capable of - go out and check the numerous homes currently under construction. Very impressive work so far.

To answer your previous question, we built a KB home in Fox Grove.

That was a fast build to move in time. Less than five months?! We are just starting the fourth month and are still a good two-three months away from moving in.

Default Luck

We were incredibly lucky with the weather especially throughout our build. They poured our foundation just after the "big freeze" in Jan 2007 and all the exterior was done before all the spring time rain in late March last year. I think too, at the time things had "slowed" down a bit as far as construction, they had just finished out one sub section and were just opening new homesites in Jan of '07 so our timing was great. We did not run into any major issues and had the house inspected by a private inspector and he did not find any major issues so we felt really lucky. We did have an absolutely WONDERFUL construction superintendent and I think that helped a lot too. Best wishes for your building process.

Thanks. We too have had great weather for building with little rain and no delays on the sub contractors. Today the electricians are there roughing in the wiring. I was out there a couple of hours ago to over see some minor changes and additions. I too have had a wonderful construction superintendent - and I agree - that helps. I plan on having the house inspected prior to sheetrock and insullation. Any recommendations on inspectors?

You didn't have a pre-pour foundation inspection?
