I saw a half dozen Wiis yesterday at the Target store at The Rim. It's the first time I've ever seen one at a store.

I'm still waiting for the day that I actually see them sitting out on display. I know it happens, but never when I'm around. Then again I do almost all my non-grocery shopping online now...

I ordered Wii Fit from Amazon.com today because I think it's going to be hard to find when it comes out. I upgraded to two day shipping with the money I saved by not paying any tax on it. Hopefully it's as fun as it seems

For anyone interested in the Wii Fit, I changed my order to this: Fit W/balance Board (http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=42267495 - broken link)

$78.99 with free shipping and no tax is hard to beat. I upgraded the shipping in the hope they'll abuse it a little less. Shipping companies have totally sucked lately and most of my boxes look like they took a detour through Iraq...

I agree that Deep Discount's prices are unbeatable. I do find their shipping to be painfully slow. It seems like every time I order from them, so much time has elapsed since I placed the order that when the package finally arrives, that I can never remember what I've ordered until I actually open it.

oh, that's not good.. Their page says they ship it so it arrives on the release date. Hopefully that is true and I like that idea. Most places ship on the release date, so you get it about a week later. Best Buy is notorious for that one and they use that UPS/USPS "service" that adds another three days to the shipping.. I guess this will be an experiment for me and hopefully it works out good. I really liked saving almost $15 over Amazon and still not having to leave my house or take a shower

so I got an e-mail this morning from Deep Discount saying the Wii Fit is suddenly backordered even though I pre-ordered it almost a week ago with no issue.. I was so pi$$ed and am now totally hot because it is now impossible to find anywhere, except places that are selling it for almost $200...
If anyone knows a secret place to find one, please share it with me.. we were really looking forwared to it

I pre-ordered one from Amazon and received a revised delivery date of June 10. Considering how much buzz it seems to be getting online, I think we should be glad to be getting one whenever we get it.

The weak dollar is reducing the incentive for Nintendo to give the US the biggest allocations of its products.

The US still gets the lions share, or at least they do of the Wii's themselves. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I think it was something like 60% of all production comes here. From what I've read you can actually find them on shelves all over Europe because they aren't so popular. I think we just have much better taste personally...

I think I'm going to call Deep Discount tomorrow and raise a little stink. Maybe being the squeaky wheel will get me greased more towards the front of the line..

I just got a notification from Amazon that my Wii Fit shipped today... almost a month before they projected it would!
