There's also a show on PBS shot out of Austin called The Daytripper. It comes on weekend mornings. Always lots of good ideas there.

Tons of hiking and biking in San Antonio. You can do the urban trek and bike the Mission Reach and Museum Reach. You can do one of the Greenways or the parks.. There's Hardberger Park, Government Canyon Park, Medina River Park, Eisenhower Park, Lost Maples, Brackenridge Park.

For bars, check out the Pearl District as well as Southtown.

For good shopping, La Cantera and North Star are the high end malls. La Cantera is open air and unlike anything you'll find in Indy.

Visit the ghost tracks. Let the spirits of the students who died in a bus crash many years ago push your car over the tracks but don't make fun of them or they will leave you on them...

Spoiler
...or consider it a lesson in optical illusion and gravity.

The greenways are great but our favorite park is

City of San Antonio | Official Web Site - Parks & Recreation Department

It's not all concrete paths.

Default Agreed, Locally with Austinite BGRN,

Enchanted Rock is a natural wonder all by itself. The second largest Batholith in the United States. If anywhere I would go there , there, or to the Gulf Coast.
Indianapolis is a beautiful city alright with a beautiful skyline but no more beautiful than San Antonio. In fact that is or was, San Antonio's sister city. I have worked there.
