Looked and couldn't find it here, WHAT is going on with Bandera Rd? Hopefully it's a paved center lane and removing every other stop light, but I doubt it since they're putting up massive pillars....anyone got the scoop?

I was out that way a couple of weeks ago, and didn't notice any construction in the Bandera/1604 area. Certainly no pillars going up in that area.

What I did notice was some kind of monument being constructed in the median at the Eckhert Road intersection. I thought I had heard a while back that the City of Leon Valley was going to be constructing some type of landscaped medians with monuments/signage at both ends of their City Limits on Bandera Road. Maybe that's what you were seeing.

Looks that way:

Leon Valley Monuments, The Bandera Road Monument project is being spearheaded by the Community Development Department

Are they doing that so no one can build an overpass down Bandera rd?

I'm talking about near Bandera Rd and Eckert, towards 410. I was there yesterday and the median was torn up

i avoid that area at all costs. would be nice to have elevated lanes down bandera but of course leon valley would rather prefer the congestion that exists today.

It looked to me like they were putting in new left turn lanes. Way too far from 1604 to have anything to do with the outer loop.

In the future they'll probably have to.
