Hmmm...I wonder if this is closer to us than the ones on 1604...my only complaint about Costco is that they're all in the burbs and not very convenient to those of us that live closer to town.

WHEN WILL A COSTCO BE BUILT IN SOUTH SAN???? I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO WOULD SHOP AT AND SUPPORT THIS EVENT!! I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT BROOKS CITY BASE WAS BEING CONSIDERED!!! I and many others on the So Side LOVE Costco.

I agree. I usually go once a month to the one near the Forum but would shop more frequently if I had one closer. I'd love a Sam's closer to home too.

I contacted Costco some time ago inquiring about the possibilty of a store on the southside and was told that they have no plans on building anything anywhere other than the northside of San Antonio. It seems that their demographic studiers have made the calculation that all non northside citizens are on welfare and living in mud huts. Cty Base will most likely get another dumpy old Sam's. If that!

Last I heard about Sam's Club (granted it was a few years ago but...) is they won't build one at Brooks City Base because they're afraid it will cause the other Southside store to lose business. I never shop that one because it's too far from my house and I shop at Costco too so I might as well go to the Sam's near the forum on my way home from Costco.
