If you do check out SASSC, don't worry about not having a team, they can put you on one. Once you start meeting people, you will get picked up for other teams and other sports...

I'm glad hot weather doesn't bother you. Summers in San Antonio are oppressive hot and dry. Conversely, the winters are mild. Keep in mind that there are year round watering restrictions in the city. The restrictions get more stringent when we receive less rainfall. Regarding traffic, there is a ban on using any handheld device while driving.

There are a variety of restaurants in the area. Tex-Mex, Asian, especially Vietnamese , and BBQ are all worth a try.

I'm unsure if you are bilingual. Spanish is widely spoken and many employers will pay a differential for those who are fluent in Spanish.
