Deep Tissue Massage
I'm looking for a serious deep tissue massage. Any suggestions on where to go? I don't need any "adult" massage parlor suggestions.

I think Hugo's at DeZavala and Vance Jackson does a good job......
I've only had their manicures and pedicures, but look at their ad on the internet, I think they're pretty impeccable.....

If there's a massage school in town you can likely get a very inexpensive deep tissue massage there - if you don't mind being used as practice....
Or, if you really want to go deep, find someone who does Rolfing.... (I see there's a place on Vance Jackson that does it...)

My wife is a massage therapist, and does deep tissue/sports massage. Some of her clients have been triatheletes, sports professionals, and just average working stiffs with very tight muscles. Unfortunately, we just moved here and don't have a table (in storage). Otherwise, I'd pm you addtional information.
Would strongly urge to stay away from massage schools--they are simply not qualified enough to give a proper deep tissue massage (in my opinion). I've been to several for the cheap massage (wife too tired after running around w/ kids) and have yet to find a good massage. It's great if all you want is a light, relaxing touch. However, if you've got real pains I'd suggest an experienced professional.
Just my 2 cents...

Very true, especially if you have or think you have any condition that could be aggravated by an accidental movement.

My sister-in-law went to that Massage school since they do free massages and the next day she was complaining that her shoulders and neck hurt. They actually did more harm than good IMO. It would be wise to look up a reputable day spa instead of a school.

I have never had one because they seem a bit pricey, but I keep seeing ads for Massage Envy at $39/hr for new clients. That's a bargain!
Also, it's expensive but Woodhouse Day Spa in the Quarry is supposed to be the top rated spa in the city, and I know they have them there.
