I'm not familiar with specifics of rush hour traffic in SA but pretty clear on the fact that rugs hour heading up toward stone oak can be a bear. What time does traffic around 281/stone oak pkwy/1604 start to ease up in the evening. I need to get there soon but would like to avoid the worst of it. Thanks.

i would say after 730 and even then, there is still traffic.
281 north of 1604 has a ton of traffic on the weekends too

I have left Lifetime Fitness at 7 pm to get to my house off of Overlook Parkway and I don't have any issues at that point with sitting in traffic. Did this schedule for about a month starting the end of August on M/W/F.

I left at 6:45....didn't hit any traffic at all. Maybe that unusual?

No, I don't think that's unusual. Let's face it, it's going to be "stop and go" north of 1604 because there's traffic lights. That's true just about any time of the day. But rush hour traffic until after 7:30? I don't think so!

I've driven up 281 to Stone Oak at various times. Between 4:30 and 6:00 seems to be the heaviest, but begins tapering off after 5:30.
