I also forgot to mention that, for now, Sprint is grandfathering those with unlimited data plans if you upgrade before December 2015... After December 2015 the unlimited plans will be phased out and any upgrade or contract change will require you to go on a limited data plan...

At least this was information given to me...

Who does this, or more specifically why? Watching a youtube video while "talking" on the phone? Talking and texting? Are y'all driving while you're doing all this too?
Seriously, if someone was doing any of this while I was on the phone with them I'd hang up in their ear because obviously the call isn't that important to them.

Are you sure they can't text and talk at the same time? Actual sprint texting, not some other app that lets you text for free, because that's never before been a limitation of CDMA.

I told her when we moved to AT&T the real "waste of money" was having a Smart Phone I couldn't even use...so we went to AT&T last year and have been happy paying the same amount for "limited" data ever since (because, as we found out, Sprint really isn't the cheapest).
That was pretty much the situation for me..I left AT&T to come to Sprint to join a line with my boyfriend and he was going to pay. The instant I tried to do anything on my phone it didn't work and one of my friends said "oh yah you have to get on wifi" and I was like "that totally defeats the purpose of having a cell phone!" I was so used to my AT&T service JUST WORK, ALL THE TIME. So it's been a long 2 years for me as well. Can't wait to be done with Sprint!

Why YES, I am driving while multi tasking on my phone ... OF COURSE NOT!!! I don't even pick up my phone to answer it while i am driving as I have bluetooth and my phone rings thru the speakers in my car...

To answer your question about multi tasking I have elderly parents who do not have cell phones and wouldn't know how to use them if they did... However, they know I can get a hold of my out of town brother very quickly for them thru text... If they call me I put them on speaker phone while I pull up my text screen so I can type out their message... And yes, with the spark network, you cannot do this unless you are on a wi-fi network... this is not an app, it is actual sprint... if you are on the phone you also cannot receive a text until you hang the call up if you are using spark and not on wi-fi... So I cannot get my brothers response to my parents until I hang up with them...

Regarding youtube videos, I have had plenty of times where my husband and I are on the phone discussing baseball training equipment or presents for the kids and we will put each other on speaker phone while one of us goes on youtube to see how the product works and the other one of us will go to Amazon to see how much the product is and check reviews... I spend so much time at the ball field with my son that a lot of times I am doing this while there, and I have no wi-fi network, so again, I cannot multi task if I was on the Spark network...

As I said before I also drive our son to out of town baseball tourneys or I take my daughter to dance performances and I need GPS... If I have GPS going and a call comes in, GPS gets shut down... I cannot have this happen while I am on the highway and not sure where my next turn off is...

There have been times where our college age daughter has called me and said that she just sent me a picture of the cost of her college books and can I compare them to Amazon prices before she makes the purchase, again, if I am not on wi-fi I cannot do this without hanging up with her and then having to call her back...

And before you ask how often I am somewhere without wi-fi, the answer is quite a bit... I am at my parents house a lot and they don't have a computer, much less wi-fi...

Anymore questions regarding my multi tasking necessity???

While on the phone with my wife, I can send her a text with directions on how to get somewhere or a picture of a location and confirm she got it. While using my bank app, i can use my excel app to keep a balance sheet of what I am spending. I can have youtube and the web open, (two different pages) so I can watch old videos of say Fleetwood Mac while searching tour dates. All while not driving but not necessarily at home.

So unless Spark is upgraded either keep your Note 3 on Sprint or get the Note 4 or the Note Edge on AT&T so you can continue to use your Note devices the way they were intended to be used...

Yep. Hey, do you think this would be a contract killer?

I was thinking about that myself...

The phone rep at Sam's told me that if we call Sprint and log a complaint every time we have a dropped call, every time we lose servcie, every time we cannot access the internet due to lack of coverage then by law they cannot keep you in contract, because we are paying for a service they are not providing...

I don't know if not being able to multi task on the Spark network ,outside of wifi, would qualify...

I think some major Googling is in order to find out that nugget of info... OR maybe an impartial phone specialist may know, like someone from Best Buy or something...
