Kudos to Liberty Bar!!

Another vote for Liberty Bar!
I love the grilled muenster sandwich with chipotle sauce, and grilled sliced potatoes with garlic butter... and yes, the chocolate cake is AMAZING.

Thanks for the heads up on saeats.com... I've been craving some of my favorites since moving here last month. Found a Puerto Rican place on Hildebrand that I'm going to try out asap... but the website doesn't make any mention of Ethiopian food (no crass Billy Crystal jokes please). Can anyone recommend a place in town where I might find some? I would even drive to Austin to get a fix... YUMMMMMMM!!!

I've yet to hear of any Ethiopian food in S.A.
That doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere, but it has yet to reveal itself to us.
I hear that a place used to be in St. Paul Square near the Alamodome, but that closed several years ago.
Closest I've heard of so far is a place in Austin called 'Aster's' I think.
If you find one, please let me know.

Now this is a thread.
Golden Wok on Wurzbach (because they're the only place in town I could find Dim Sum), oh, and don't confuse that for the one off of Marbach. I will never eat at the Golden Wok off of Marbach (I have legit reasons). :X
Its Greek To Me off of Babcock
Simi's Indian restaurant off of Fredericksburg. And right next door Babes Burgers.
Lulu's and Jailhouse cafe for big a$$ chickfried steak and cinnamon rolls.
And I have to give my props to Cracker Barrel.

Best Dim Sum in SA
Hi...saw this thread and had to jump in with my 2 cents.
As far as Dim Sum is concerned, I think Chef Chan's (410 and Evers) has the best dim sum among the three restaurants that offers: The Golden Wok near Medical Center on Wurzbach, The Phoenix Cafe on West Avenue, and Chef Chan's. Although Golden Wok has the best atmosphere and has been serving dim sum the longest, I'd rate Chef Chan first, then the Phoenix Cafe, and then Golden Wok. My wife is ethnic Chinese and whenever her parents visit us in San Antonio from LA, they choose Chef Chan over Golden Wok because they say Chef Chan's has the most authentic taste. They used to go to Phoenix Cafe over Golden Wok, but since Chef Chan's is closer, that's where we go the most often.
Also...IMHO, the best Chinese Restaurant is very much dependent on individual taste and preference. As far as my in-laws are concerned, the most authentic Chinese food (Cantonese style) is served by Kim Wah (Bandera and Huebner) and the Phoenix Cafe. Kim Wah serves up some great Peking Duck. I personally like Phoenix Cafe, because they don't use too much MSG...which makes my mouth dry.
I'm not knocking Golden Wok...just letting you know what the "natives" think.

Maybe we'll hit up Taipei, haven't tried that yet.
Any other suggestions?

Hsiu Yu on Broadway. PF Changs in the Quarry. Thai: Dang's Thai on Austin Hwy; lots and lots of Chinese restaurants here. Formosa Gardens is simply excellent but more pricey but then the place is great. PF Chang's is excellent, but pricey and the waiting line can be daunting. One of the best Chinese restaurants is in the King William area: China Latina. The sauces are to die for. They have sushi too but that's for my daughters and not (wrinkles my nose) for me.

Chef Chan's is next to a pool hall (billiards) in a strip center behind McDonald's. It is located on the outside of 410, on the corner of 410 and Evers. The best time for dim sum is on the weekends, after 11 AM.
