It's not in San Antonio and it is actually about 100 miles north of here but if you are ever near Llano try out Coopers BBQ http://www.coopersbbq.com/. They have the best ribs I've ever eaten.

mmmmmm, I love Coopers. I wish it wasn't such a long drive.

Default Cooper's is also in New Braunfels

The same owners of the Cooper's in Llano (which has the best BBQ I have ever tasted) just opened a 2nd location in New Braunfels. That is a MUCH shorter drive from San Antonio than Llano!

Default One word, the city of Lockhart

I am sure you meant in SA. But, there is really no good barbecue in SA. The 1.5 hour drive north to Lockhart is worth every minute.

Kreuz Barbeque and Chisholm Trail are my favorites. There is also Blacks and Smittys.

Yes, I tried the Cooper's in New Braunfels a couple weeks ago and can recommend it. Of course, City Market in Luling and the assorted places in Lockhart are also very good options.
