From the inside, I hear a lot of buzzing coming from one of the boxes that's on the outside of the same wall. It sounds like a distant chainsaw or weed eater. Anyone else have this happen and what was it? It's annoying as hell

what is the box that you are referencing used for? if elec, yeah its going to buzz. nothing you can do but put in some ear plugs and deal with it.

if its cable or phone, it should NOT be buzzing. contact your apt management, HOA, TWC/grande or ATT.

Loose connection, or the breaker is about to fail. That'll be $50 please.

It could be the electrical wiring arcing If it has exposed joints. This would not sound like a chainsaw though unless the meter box is making mechanical noises. Turn off your service disconnect box to the electrical panel and see if it stops. Don't touch any piping because If it is electrical you can get shocked. Do you have power surges or lights flickering inside the house? More than likely it is probably the meter box being noisy with the gears turning. It shouldn't be the cable box this does not make noise. Maybe it is a distant chainsaw or weed eater.
