Forecast I heard last night said that it will probably be too windy for the downtown (and backyard) fireworks displays, as an arctic cold front makes its way through the area. Better check the local news for updates before heading downtown tonight.

googling how to do a wind dance.
It'll be great if it gets too cold out early enough to get some decent sleep..

I don't know about everyone else, but I went to check my mail after that last post and the wind suddenly picked up big time and the temp is down about 15 degrees.. I wish it was pouring though..

WELL...since we live in the same neighborhood I will assume my wind has picked up and my temp as dropped...and most importantly, I can go and get the mail because the mailman finally came!

luckily my waste management bill wasn't in it. I've been reading that other thread and am afraid to see what they have planned for me. They're not going to like what I have planned for them though

it's quite windy now too and definitely cooler. It wasn't fun trying to adjust the sprinkler while the cold water was falling on me, but I'm trying to keep my grass from catching on fire tonight.. I'm seriously surprised it doesn't happen around here too, or at least not in the almost 7 years I've lived here

Well, we have really enjoyed the warm weather the last two days!

We had to beg the kids to go outside and play today (typical) because its supposed to be cooooold tomorrow.

The wind kicked up here around 5:00 and that was it for outside playtime.

The wind is whipping around the house nice and loud now, even louder then my dishwasher. haha

I guess I will be dusting off my jacket for tomorrow.

Happy New Year everybody!

And GO SC!

Sorry to change the thread, if I do, but what is with Waste management? Do I have a surprise in store?

Oh come on now! What is cold?? Just kidding. I am late coming down this year- it is about 14 degrees right now! (Wyoming). It has been about 3-6 degrees in the mornings. I will get there late next week I think, and I am REALLY looking forward to 70 degrees! I have had to have the pellet stove going nonstop for about 2 weeks. Keep the nice weather for me! Anything between 45-75 is wonderful! Don't want it too hot. Have a good New Year everyone! I hope the next year is better for all of us!
