(Had to grab a Lemon Bar and Chocolate Chip Cherry Torte for old time's sake.)

Found the Lara Bars at The HEb on Babcock and Huebner. No luck with the baby food, but did find some compliant options. I'll give these a try tomorrow and see how it goes. The Banana bread Lara bar was a good choice. I had to try it last night.

You can have your Costco member friend buy you a Costco gift card, then you can use the card to enter the club and check out the selection of bars on your own.

This is supposed to work, but not a guarantee.

I've purchased the baby food before at either Target or Wal-Mart. Probably Wal-Mart. Not in the baby section, in regular grocery. I think in the canned fruit/applesauce area. I remember the first time thinking it was in a strange location.

Great. Thanks!

Also one more, has anyone ever bought Ghee? I've been doing pretty well on this thing but had a dream about making something with butter last night and now I'm thinking it's time to find it (it didn't help that I looked at my butter in the fridge yesterday while putting things away).

Have seen it at Whole Foods Stone Oak. On a shelf, in an aisle, in a jar. Not in the dairy case. I opted to use coconut oil for all my paleo cooking, so never did actually purchase any ghee. You can make your own at home from butter, not sure how involved that process is, but I do remember seeing this mentioned on one paleo site or another, so that could be an option as well.

I bought a big jar of ghee from Amazon a couple of months ago. It's not cheap but it's easier than making it yourself.

I've seen it in the ethnic foods section at HEB. It's sold in a jar, unrefrigerated.

I bet you'd find it at most stores on the north side.
