Default PO' FOLKS...why did you go?

man, i remember they had a trough of sodas in the waiting area, and when i would go i always got the orange crush (usually on a Sunday). they had some damn good chicken fried steak and fried okra...oh and how could i forget the fluffy biscuits and juicy corn on the cob...and of course the cobbler!

i seriously did not notice they were gone until early 2000 or so...lol...i didn't go to the Walzem area via I35 very often so when the IHOP and Palapas opened i was like " where did Po' Folks go?" it was a rough day...

I emailed them about a location in SA and here is the response I got: (Anyone want to franchise?? )

Thank you for your interest in PoFolks. PoFolks would love to be in San Antonio again, if you know of anyone that might be interested in a franchise, please direct them our way. This location was closed before we purchased the company.

Happy New Year!

I remember those wooden peg board games as well! My mom and grandmother would take me there as a child. Wow that was YEARS ago. I think it was located on Clark, or Fair?? I'm not sure but I think it is a Dialysis center now, but I may be wrong.
