Apparently, this is a thing now.
I was stopped at a red light on Babcock near Huebner when I saw this creeper out of the corner of my eye. "His" jerky, awkward movement was kind of unsettling.

I guess it does its job at grabbing your attention.

I posted it on fb, and a friend says there's robot girls on Louis Pasteur near UT.

Stay in school kids, the robots are here!

There are some on the corner of Rector and San Pedro. I saw them years ago.
