The only reason I subscribe to the EN is for the coupons. My wife is very frugal and clips coupons every Sunday Night. The value in coupons used more than pays for the paper. She averages about $6.00 saved every week.

I liked the Express News up until they sicked the hounds on our home phone. I keep getting calls from Strategic Marketing (623-889-7456) trying to get me to renew my subscription to the EN. I'll never buy another paper from them again.
To me its just as easy to go to the companies' websites and look over their ads. I can read all the news I want from a half dozen websites without paying a dime. And, of course, this news isn't a day old. They pushed me away, I didn't leave.

Yeah, that and the TV guide. I've been really tempted to cancel. The only thing I really ever looked forward to reading was the editorial section and that's all but gone.
I agree, put the paper on it's own website.

Matt Drudge does a great job of aggregating the salacious. I used to enjoy his radio show.
Keep in mind that Drudge's unabashed libertarian (small "l") political agenda and dislike of blogs lead him to neglect some stories until they get too big to ignore. I use the meta-aggregator at popurls® | popular urls to the latest web buzz to get a broader cross-section of reader-selected news than Drudge that comes from a variety of agendas. Don't get too bothered by the chaff at popurls, because there's a lot of wheat there, too.

Here, Here! MYSA.com is quite possibly the worst web page ever when it comes to navigating and trying to look for stuff. I'm sure it is just another cost savings deal, which I understand, but if you are trying to lure people to your web page, you should make everything intuitive and keyword search friendly.

That is an interesting question.
1)probably by the time san antonio has a fully functional rail system.
By then, gas will be expensive enough so that the cost of delivery to homes is not reasonable.
or
2) We have patriot act II that outlaws the physical print of any text, because the NSA can't scan through all text for suspicious activity.

I'm a huge Drudge fan, and I agree with your opinion. But, like anything else, it comes down to ratings (in his case, traffic) and those are the kinds of headlines that bring it in.
As long as you don't read just one source of news, you'll be fine. The last thing you want to do is read things that you always agree with. Read a conservative source, then read NYTimes. I find that works the best.

My trips to San Antonio always include having me at Jim's for breakfast with an Express-News in front of me and a cup of coffee right next to it. Nothing beats that. You can't drag my computer into Jim's -- that would be hard to do.
