Old Red Barn Restaurant
I have lived on the far NW side for the past year. This entire time, what I was told was the Red Barn Restaurant on Westover Hills and 151 has been empty. Does anyone know if there are plans for it? I see cars parked there sometimes but I don't know if it has been purchased?
I think it would make an excellent steak house (really good steaks), a bar, and a small dance hall. It seems to be large enough for all three. There isn't anything like it in the area.
I am also wondering if it was a steak house in the past, what went wrong?

Being next to some of the best BBQ around (Rudy's), and also being somewhat hidden behind Rudy's and not easily accessible, I wasn't surprised when I saw the place was closed...was it that good?
Cheers! M2

Are you talking about Rudy's BBQ? They are in a red barn-looking building at Westover Hills and 151. But they are open for business.

At one time there was a temporary fire station on the other side of Rudy's, on the side road that goes back to where the Red Barn was/is.

I am talking about the red building on Westover Hills with the silver silo looking thing. I was told it used to be a restaurant.
I would think if the right people owned it (with a different menu from Rudy's) they could do very well. I love Rudy's but I would also like to have a place to go and eat an awesome prime rib!

That would be so great! I would do my best to support it! LOL!
Now I hope they are thinking "Prime Rib"
