My first concert was Grand Funk Railroad in 1972 - It was the Flight of The Phoenix Tour. I was a sophomore in hight school and this was totally new to me. My sister's boyfriend turned me on to this group and I still enjoy listening to them.

Wow,

I, too caught Kiss in 1974 at the Municipal Auditorium and still have my concert ticket stub. I remember how frustrating it was to convince the person taking your ticket that you wanted the bigger part of the ticket stub to keep as a souvenir.

Default Aerosmith Concert In Sayers, TX in 1973

Did anyone attend the free Aerosmith Concert in 1973 in Sayers, Texas, just outside San Antonio. I believe the date was October 13, 1973.

HI Sebastian,
Man a really long time. I am Terry Tolman remember me?? I ran the lights at Love Street after Chris and Carey "blew up". I was there until the bitter end. Then I went to the ***** Cat and JAM Factory. Long story short, I went to art school in Minneapolis, ended up teaching at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I am still in Mpls MN. I am a commercial photographer and studio manager. I get home once or twice every year.

And you? In Houston?

Terry

I see some people mentioned seeing concerts at the Majestic. I just bought tickets for something (can't mention it because it's a surprise for someone that could read this) and they are in the front row of the Mezzanine dead center. Two guys I work with said the Mezzanine is better than orchestra level and they were also less expensive. The TicketMaster site mentioned a possible rail obstruction, but both of them said it's low enough to not get in the way. Can anyone third or fourth this? and also let me know if those seats should be good. Seems almost too good to be true, especially since I got them off the TicketMaster site.

First concert in S.A. was... sadly... New Kids on the Block. That was not my 1st concert but my 1st in S.A. I went because my best friend wanted to go (seriously) and in return she had to go to a Morrissey concert with me (I was a big fan and she was not). I did get to drag my older brother and his girlfriend along (now his wife) as chaperones so we all have lovely memories of the NKOTB Christmas tour that year. I think it was '87? And I believe it was at the Municipal Auditorium. Good times.

First concert in SA was probably Wishbone Ash at the Municipal Auditorium. I went to so many concerts there, in the mid-seventies,before the fire. Budgie, Leggs Diamond, J. Giles, Kansas. The last concert I went to there was Dire Straits. I live in Houston now and I miss SA. When I retire, I'm moving back to SA.
