My first concert here in SA was at Trinity Baptist to see Cademan's Call. It was a blast!

Chicago at the arena (circa 1975), Moody Blues at the muni, Rippingtons at the Majestic, Struntz and Farrah (hotel on Lexington St.) and Chicago/CSN at the muni (note: this particular tour CSN played none of their hits and were booed-they really sucked).

1st concert was in the mid 80's I saw Huey Lewis and the News, I won the tickets in a contest held by the express news. I don't remember what arena it was as because I had just moved to SA from Illinois

Speaking of winning tickets, I forgot. I won tickets from the EN to go see Santana at the Sunken Gardens Amphi. Also saw the jazz guys that did "Live From The Greek"--five big names (Stanley Clarke was one). Had a backstage pass there and watched the concert from behind the band (way cool).

I think the first for me in SA was Judas Priest in the early 80s. Not sure. I remember heading to the show in a van full of people listening to the tape. Before I moved here I lived near CC and my first there was Ratt and ??? cannot remember. Some hair band. I grew up in my brother's shadow and he is 9 years older. He was heavy into music, had a garage band, and worked shows doing sound stuff so I heard all about each one. He always met bands and had autographs and such. He tried to take me whe I was 11 or 12 but my mom vetoed that real quick.

Here in SA I saw Rush several times, AC/DC more than once, Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi (met Jon Bon Jovi and was soo freakin' excited), Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Queensryche, Metallica (twice, once at the Majestic I think it was? with the GODZ), Anthrax, Poison, Dio, White something? Arrgh. Too old to remember.

Later on I shifted my tastes and saw The Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, GG Allen, Corrosion of Conformity, DRI, and a jillion lesser known punk bands that are all blurred together in my mind.

I went "out of town" (dallas) to see The Cure in the 80's with my "new wave" friends, and to Austin to see some hair band again (what was with that??? I think it was another friend's idea... lol). Maybe it was LA Guns?
