Hi,

Very conservative person wishing to escape California. I have 2 occupations: I make medieval armour for the film industry (did Tom Man for Sci Fi Channel, and some work on Kingdom of Heaven), ren fairs and the like AND I have a prosperous duck farm, currently over 500 ducks. I would be looking for about 15 acres, small house OK even a fixer if financeable. Mostly curious what quadrant of SA would be desirable.

How about none of the above. Unless I just don't understand ducks, you're going to need a decent supply of water. San Antonio is facing a water shortage and probably rationing this summer with all of the newbys moving in. We have the Edwards underground aquifer and it's pretty much our drinking water source with little back up. We have huge farmers to the west of San Antonio that are also pumping huge amounts of water from it for irrigation. Yer ducks may dry up. I would suggest looking around the Corpus area and actually more towards Sinton. You'll avoid a lot of big city politics too.

Go East.

Floresville
LaVernia
New Berlin
Seguin

First to areas are clay and sandy and the second to areas are rich black dirt.

Northwest SA...off Talley Road. Tamaron Subdivision has large acreage tracts at the rear of the development. 5 or 6 places with 12 & 15 acres.
