Has this restaurant closed?
That's the rumor I heard. Location is Blanco and Oblate.

The original Blanco Cafe was founded in 1974 by Alejandro F. San Miguel. Wanting to go into business for himself, he opened a restaurant at 1720 Blanco Rd. That location appears to have closed. There are currently two other locations Downtown: 419 N. St. Mary's and at the Medical Center: 7934 Fredricksburg Rd.

Their website is at: The Original Blanco Cafe - Home

However, their Facebook page says they are at 1720 Blanco Rd... And now open "January 21 at 4:04pm · took a little longer than expected, but it's done! Here's a few pics of the new parking lot! Come test it out!" https://www.facebook.com/BlancoCafe1...52953425739376 https://www.facebook.com/BlancoCafe1

The 1720 Blanco location has been opened since 1974, it has never closed. Its a good 10 min drive from my office but go there at least 2-3 a month.

What makes you think only locals can answer on this site?

It's not helpful to spread misinformation no matter who gives it.

I didn't spread misinformation. I provided information which appeared accurate and gave a reference for it.

So just exactly what are you flapping your jaws about? You haven't answered the Original Posters question. You've gone off on a tangent accusing others of issues not related.

I am curious why the 1720 blanco location is not listed on their own website. Different owners like how the La Fonda off Main Street and La Fonda in Oakhills have different owners?
