Elio Motors | The next big thing in transportation!

this might work splitting lanes on some of Texas' nice wide roads

not much mention of the AC / heater in the article unfortunately

So Steve, care to explain why cage drivers get so butt hurt over bikes passing them when traffic is standing still? I've probably had over 20 guys try to start a fist fight with me, until I take my helmet off and they realize they are trying to start a fight with a girl

I've only experienced it on the freeway in Dallas. A dozen or so bikes, most with the front wheel up in the air - splitting lanes going at least 90mph. Left me shook up.

Well, that's not really comparable to this is it? If what you were saying was true, they broke at least a couple laws and wouldn't have been abiding by the proposed lane splitting law either.

Just playing with you. Not my concern, Darwin takes care of these sorts of things.

I just want to chime in here real quick for those suggesting that they might 'accidentally' open the door on a lane splitter. If this does get enacted, you will be responsible to make sure you are not creating a hazard when opening your door - just like now if you were to open your door on a car that was passing by.

To reiterate an earlier comment - why are some people so against someone passing them? It's not a race, you don't get a prize if you are the first to where ever you are going. Although, that might explain some San Antonio drivers' attitudes and inability to yield or let anyone into their lane.
