Somewhat off topic but spice related, driving on the lower level of 10 past Colorado headed east in the morning you can catch the smell of the spices at the Fiesta plant. It's so odd but so perfect early in the morning.

I don't see anything on their website about this - could you elaborate? Would this just be deli meats than or do they grill / barbecue? Not sure if I'll have time for lunch because I'm a convention during the day but might be able to get there before my flight out or dinner time.

Bolner Meat Company serving San Antonio since 1914

Think they are open until 6PM. Call to make sure they serve that late.

Depending on how "local" it needs to be - I'll toss Salt Lick rub into the mix. Not a fan of their bbq, but big fan of their rubs. I use the regular and garlic varieties on packers (brisket) and pork butt all the time, with great results. Can be found at just about any major grocer.

Good stuff. It can be found at Jeff's Backyard off Nakoma.

That's actually the first place we bought it! We love the flavor and our local bbq store carries a huge variety and we've tried several of them. They have a steakhouse one that we don't care for but for the most part all have been pretty good.

Bolner's Fiesta rubs are hard to beat. Many of them are salt and/or MSG free. The bbq and side orders are excellent. Call ahead before heading over there. They tend to sell out of bbq as it gets later in the day.
