so does either Fred's or Rudy's carry malted vinegar for the fries? this is a personal test because I've never found good fish and chips that didn't offer this as an option.

Fox and Hound on Vance Jackson has some good fish and chips from what I hear.

As for Fred's Fish Fry, I graduated from John Jay H.S., and during my tenure there, I ate there once during my freshman year...I no longer eat seafood...

I also went to Jay and would go across the street to eat at Fred's. I have not been there in quite a while, since I have moved away for 8+ years and now I am back. My friend and her family still eat there and say it is still good. Well, I shouldn't say eat there, they get it to go.

Default Fish And Chips

If you don't mind the drive to Austin, Tex...they have great fish at the Catfish Parlour...even have "all you can eat" . At least they did the last time I went, about 1 year ago. The have been serving up great fish for a VERY long time and it's a popular place. Not fancy, just laid back, like Austin.

Oooh, my!!
For some reason, I think this place was somehow associated with Scott & Laci Peterson, when they first got married....

They owned a little food place, but they frequented some kinda fish n' chips place, I THINK... and I think this all happened in Morro Bay...

okay, yes, I got totally immersed in the Laci Peterson tragedy.... way in over my head..... don't really know why for sure, but I did....

I had a dear dear friend that lived in Los Osos... you could see the rock from her livingroom, way up on the hill she lived on..... she's in No Carolina now....
love love love Morro Bay...
but I loved Long Beach too, where I lived, many miles south .....
