If I turned my antenna that way I could sorta pull it in. With a bigger VHF element it probably would have worked, but there wasn't really any content we wanted on that channel anyway. They had plans to put in a low power transmitter closer to town, but I don't think that ever happened.

Just looked it up and it looks like KCWX has a Construction Permit for that infil transmitter, and it is supposed to be on Channel 8 which is VHF HI.

I have a preamp in the mix from when I was trying to get KMYS and it isn't blowing out the closer transmitters with my setup. I'm using a couple Tivo HDs for tuners. Had them well before deciding to go without cable, and they work well as DVR for OTA.

What's up with KSAT/ABC's transmitter?

I can get KENS/CBS, WOAI/NBC, KABB/FOX all great. No problems. But I've never been able to get KSAT no matter where in town I live.

KSAT/ABC, along with KLRN/PBS, are High-Band VHF channels. Have you ever been able to get KLRN? You need a UHF/VHF antenna to get all the channels in San Antonio. Many of the antennas that are marketed today are UHF-only.

I had the same issue so I did some research and purchased a MOHU leaf unpowered. It works great now... installed it about a month ago on a wall high up near a bedroom window.

That channel is loaded with movies back to back.

I use TitanTV.com to get the TV listings.
