I called to check on a part that had been ordered for my car at Ancira 281 North Chrysler Jeep and got a recording saying they were CLOSED FOR GOOD! No warning, no calls back to me from the service department "by the way, we won't have your part, we are going out of business!"...nothing! The message says to call Ancira IH-10 but if that's the kind of service I will get there as well...no thanks! Shady people, and I shouldn't have ignored my early suspicions about this company.
Anyone know of a reliable Chrysler dealership near Stone Oak?

The closest Chrysler dealer that isn't Ancira would either be Lone Star or Mission. I've never been to either one of those.

I believe the only other one in town is IPAC and that was my least favorite place to get work done when I had a Chrysler. Admittedly, that's partly due to location. That area of 410 was a bear to get around in a few years ago when it was under heavier construction than it is now.

I remember discussing this with you in this earlier thread you started.

I have a Chrysler and use Lone Star for service. I've been very happy with them. Reliable and they know the car and give very good service and personal touches. i have my own service rep who knows me when I drive in and greets me by name. I was suprised the first time he did it. Like, how did you remeber me?? but he does it every time. I don't go there that much. It's one of the really nice touches. I've not bought a car there, but I'll sure consider it when I do buy my next car.

Lone Star is the best. I don't know anything about their sales department but they are the best place for parts.

Wow...I wonder who will be next. I have been noticing that North Side Ford has acres and acres of full size trucks and expensive SUVs. I can't imagine how they have stayed in business.

Ancira has been in business a long time in San Antonio--people just aren't buying cars right now. I know someone who works at the I-10 location and they are not thrilled at all that they had to close the Chrysler Jeep dealership. I think she said that they were doing all right selling the Jeeps, but the problem was that the Chryslers weren't selling well.

It is unfortunate that they didn't contact you about your part, but I'm sure they can help you at the I-10 location.

I heard Ancira was really mad about the proposed toll road going through but now that the feds put a stop to it . . . I thought he would be happy. Maybe he was hoping for a big buyout from TXDOT when the toll road went through and now that won't happen. Who knows. The guy that built the giant funeral home (that hasn't opened) said TXDOT was going to have to pay him millions for his property. (he said that on a TV interview) Guess he's sick about how things have turned out.

I wonder about his RV dealerships. One is up on I10 near Boerne, and another is up I35 near the I35 split to Dallas/Fort Worth. I'd imagine not to many people are buying new RV's when their 401K's are taking a nosedive right now.
