Yes, I'm sure if houses could tell stories, those old houses could. Another point, the Holiday Inn on Durango at 35 is on the southern edge of the district, and if you walk into their bar, the ladies still appear to be around. Laws change, people don't.

Hey folks, we're having a party for a nice young lady from Marabella, Spain. Romy is her name. She will be in Texas for two weeks in April. On Friday, April 18th we are throwing a party at the Gruene Hall in Greune, TX. The time will be from 7-10pm. I'm sure you can stay till closing. Have a good time, bring plenty of money. Buy your own drinks and food.

Here are some pics of Gruene Hall. It's been in several movies including Michaelwith John Travolta.

I'm using Photobucket to download the photographs of the closing of San Antonio's infamous, "West Side of the Creek", a legal red-light district from the 1880's until the 1940's. However, the district probably began in the 1750's or earlier. Afterall, it was the oldest profession.
