No. The only ones in Texas are in Amarillo and the Houston area.

San Antonio does have IHOP, Denny's, Jim's, and Village Inn.

There are Waffle Houses all over Texas not just Amarillo and Houston. Plenty in the Dallas area too.

This month, the San Antonio area has 3 fewer Village Inn locations than it did last month. The locations closing are at 6519 FM 78, 9818 W. I-10 in San Antonio and 1348 N. I-35, New Braunfels.

There used to be Waffle House in San Antonio. The that I know about for sure was on the corner of IH-10 and Callaghan....it is now a Subway.
Jims seems to have a monopoly on the diner market in SA.

One thing that would probably sell here is chicken w/gravy over waffles. None of the dinner joints here seem to want to carry it though. They had it all over up north. (Things that make you say Hmmmm-m-m-mm)

OK, I must admit, I thought you were kidding on this one. So I googled it:
Chicken and waffles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It just doesn't sound good to me but I'm up for trying anything.

Mmmmmmmm! Chicken and waffles is legendary.... and oh, sooooo good! I was on a business trip in Florida with a colleague who made us drive 20 miles out of the way to get chicken and waffles at Waffle House! I thought he was crazy, but now I'm a convert.

I would love a Waffle House here in SA. I usually stop and eat there when I have gigs in Austin.
