Interesting....finally got time to call them today, they offered a "reduced" subscription rate of $24/mo for 6 months. Like I told him - I didn't want to have to worry about making the same call again in 6 months, so I told him to cancel it.

Just wanted to share
that reduced offer in case anyone else is looking.

What reporters? They've gotten rid of most of the beat reporters in multiple rounds of layoffs. Therein lies the problem.

Side bar......local gas station/convenience store here on FM 725 had a stack of American Statesman yesterday next to a hand-written sign advising customers that the Express-News will no longer deliver papers to them.

Methinks they're making a monumental mistake - but it's their loss (or gain).
