Hello everyone!

I have recently be 'offered' a job at Audie Murphy VA. So if the final offer is right I'll be moving pretty soon. My daughter has lived in SA for <>7 years now but she is in the Helotes area. I am looking to rent an apartment close to work because I really hate long commutes. I have been looking on-line for something affordable between $500 and $800 a month. I also want a safe low crime area.
My daughter has had her car broken into several times and the bumpers stolen off her truck while it sat in her driveway and she's in a very nice neighborhood. Now I realize that in a large city or any city for that matter crime happens. I am just looking for an area where I'm not setting myself up for it.
I have also thought about a suburb but again I hate the long commutes and sitting in traffic.
Oh if it was obvious I am in my forties so more peace and less party is also a consideration.
Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thank You!
