My parents moved to San Antonio near the stone oak area. Prior to the move my father's sinus were acting up but he suffers from allergies and such and those types of flare ups are not surprising. Upon arrival he still had this lingering sinus thing going on and his eye had been swollen and red which caused me concern, so he went to see an ENT Dr. Hatch in San Antonio. Dr. Hatch gave him a couple scripts for antibiotics and a steroid and he went on his way. He took his meds for about a week and during that time he was vomiting multiple times a day and running a fever. After this went on for several days I convinced my mother to take him to the emergency room. Keeping in mind that they just went through a huge move going from state to state I didn't pay much attention to his inability to bounce back too quick. It's been nearly three weeks and he's still running a low fever, throwing up and just tired all the time. My mother said that he sleeps constantly. My gut tells me that there is more going on than just a sinus issue. He has Type II Diabetes and takes his meds regularly. He doesn't take his blood/glucose levels ever, and he has a very poor diet. He's a 70 old retired Chicago Police Sgt. and a bit stubborn to say the least. My mom told me last night that she thinks there is something further going on but can't find a descent doctor to take him to. She needs to find a primary doctor, internist etc., but she doesn't even know where to turn for a referral. Can anybody recommend a refutable doctor in the Stone Oak and surrounding areas that my father can get good results for my dad. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Not really stone oak area, but I really like the doctors in the North San Antonio healthcare associates group. They are located in oakwell farms. Both dr wathall and dr alprin there have been fantastic.

Call his insurance/search on their website for doctors in the area. Then ask if we have any opinions. That may also help.

My husband really like Dr. Albert Mosqueda from San Antonio Preventative and Diagnostic Medicine. He is excellent but I think any of the doctors there would be quite good. He went there because of poor care he was recieving from a prior doctor.
