Hi,All

I have recently been admitted to UTSA Master in Applied Statistics program. I am trying to look online for the reputation of UTSA Applied Statistics program, but could not find it. Can anyone who might be familiar with it, kindly share your opinions here?

Regards,
Ying

Look up the individual faculty and check their publication records, that will give you some clue.

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.....if your goal is to stay/start your career in San Antonio and stay there for multiple years, then it's fine. If your goal is to move to a different city/state, then most likely the program won't help you too much. UTSA is a regional school and not known well outside of the San Antonio area.

What is more important than the school's reputation is the school's reputation in a particular field. Even Harvard is not viewed as being among the best in some fields. Other than that, I don't really know the competitiveness of the statistics field. If there is a shortage of qualified workers, then all that will matter is if your school is accredited and/or has a bad reputation. Having no reputation isn't always bad.
