The annual registration in SC was something like $40..if memory serves correct. Lower than here in TX.

The title of this thread should read "registration sticker", not "inspection sticker" but I will piggyback on this old thread anyways.....

How long does it take the inspection report to show up in the online system for registration? Has anyone here ever issues with the inspection report being verified?

In the past I have always just went to the tax office but I am trying to do it online this time and it keeps telling me that my inspection report is not verified.

Btw...the inspection places seem to be cracking down on items that passed before due to the law change. I have used the same inspection place for years but they just now decided to tell me that window tint (installed by previous owner of my vehicle) exceeds the limit. No big deal to me but it cost me $75 to have a tint shop remove it and have it re-inspected.

It shouldn't take more than a day. Once the info is downloaded in the inspection station's computer, it should be instant. Some do a daily report, and at the end of the day, it uploads the info to the state's database.
They really are getting picky about tint and those "blacked out" headlights and tailights, which are illegal. Starting this year, the 3rd brake light must work, if equipped with one.

Thanks txtea.

I really don't care about window tint or third brake light on people's cars but I will say I am all for banning "blacked out" tail lights / head lights. Been behind those cars one time too many.
