Ironically, if more had turned out, there might have been a decisive victory abd no run-off needed.

Apathy = more $$ spent!

Probably not in the mayor's race. A candidate would have to be head-and-shoulders above the others (or spend more than all of the others combined) to draw over 50% of the vote in a 14-candidate field.

I was rooting for Ivy and Mike to finish ahead of Leticia, so I'm OK with the runoff outcome.

I'd be sad if we had to suffer through more of Ivy Taylor. She's been nothing for this city so far.

Poison Ivy needs to go! I was hoping Mike would be the new elected mayor, but that didn't happen. Now, pulling for Leticia.

The north side loves her because she killed off Nelson Wolff's streetcar shenanigans and the shell game of funding that made it happen.

I don't agree with her vote on the NDO, but she wasn't representing my district when she made that vote. She has mended fences with leaders of the LGBT community, which satisfies me that her heart is in the right place. I don't dig what some members of the council tried to do recently to remind the community how Ivy voted on the NDO, and I suspect they were mostly doing that to prop up other candidates.

I love her stance on the lawsuit against the evergreen clause in the Public Safety contract. She's been dogged about pursuing the lawsuit to its resolution and I appreciate what that move symbolizes about her support for the city manager. Having an excellent city manager is what made most of the things people like about the last decade in this city possible. Frankly, I don't trust Leticia to maintain that support of the city manager, if there is some political gain to be made by taking the opposite position. And I do believe the grassroots grumbling about the city manager's pay might fall into that category.

Mike was my guy too , I hate that Ivy crumbled to the do nothing's on the streetcar and her stance on the NDO ordinance and helped kill uber are major turn offs for me. leticia's police union support is enough for me not to vote for her.

Leticia is the lesser of two evils. Has anyone in the business community came out to support Ivy?

I saw a gigantic "Ivy For Mayor" sign in front of an Ancira dealership.
