Moving to New Braunfels soon for work, and had a couple questions.

We will likely be renting for the first year, and would like to live in a luxury/nicer apartment complex. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations of places to check out, or more importantly, to avoid. From google searching, one place I saw was Mansions at Creekside which seems to be a newer complex. Any input?

Another question (may seem somewhat random) - Any recommendations for places to play pickup basketball at an indoor court/gym? I'm coming from a larger Texas city, and we have plenty of places to play pick up basketball most evenings. I tried looking online, but couldn't come up with many places.

Thanks!

Luxury is associated with the river in New Braunfels. I see places here and there that look to be multi-family, but again, river oriented. And as far as pick-up basketball, you may need to drive to the Shertz/Selma area to get in on any of that. But isn't there a YMCA in NB? That may be an option. Even though New Braunfels sounds large, it really is still a sleepy little town north of San Antonio. Good luck.

Sorry 'bout that......<G>

Once you're hear, PM me - there's some FB pages for local that'll hook you up with local events, etc. Includin' basketball pick-up game locations, etc.
