Any recommendations on the vance jackson area near utsa? Drove past that area today and a couple of apartments looked nice. Thoughts? My budget is around $1400

Any of them will be fine. It might get a bit "college"y at times with the location, but if that's what you're looking for then that's perfect. And 1400 for a one bedroom? two bedroom?

I currently live at The Presidio at the Landmark. For me, it was the perfect choice. I am moving in July, but not because of anything wrong with the complex itself. I really like it and would recommend it. The rents are going up to more than I can afford on the unit I'm in (3 bedroom with attached garage), a transfer to an exact 2 bedroom setup just isn't available in an acceptable time frame, and so I'm forced to move. It is in your price range, though, so I would highly recommend it. There are a lot of college kids in the complexes in this area, so be prepared for that. However, in spite of that, the Presidio is about as quiet as I've ever seen an apartment complex. The complex will be receiving major upgrades to appliances soon as well (even though the ones they have now are stainless-look ones and are just fine).
