Is there anywhere in San Antonio I can get a free tooth pulled, I've had a broken upper tooth that has been breaking more over the years. Sharp pains to the temple more often because another piece recently broke. No incsernce or anything. It's pretty bad 😵

Thank you

You may want to check out the dental clinic associated with the UT Health Science Center Dental School. I believe the fees are significantly reduced compared to private practice dentists because dental students are doing the procedures.

Smiles of San Antonio on Culebra......I have used them 3 times in emergency and have been seen within an hour or two each time.

The Dental Office of Munoz & Arroyo

Dr Rodriguez is awesome!

You honestly have few options when you are looking for free. The Haven for Hope has a dental clinic that offers free services like extractions but the criteria for qualification are VERY stringent. Basically, if you aren't completely homeless and destitute you will not qualify. The Dental Emergency Clinic at UTHSCSA Dental School will probably be your cheapest option. You should be able to get it taken care of for at or around $100 there. If you can get CareLink coverage through Bexar County, then you could get the tooth out at the Brady Greene hospital where they have a small oral surgery clinic, but you would have to qualify for CareLink. You can google that for more information. Emergency Dental on Fredericksburg will cost you probably $400-500. Emergency Dental on Walzem will cost you around $300.

If you have any services you could offer to a practice owner dentist, then you could by chance barter. For instance if you were a handy man or could do landscaping or painting or anything like that, someone may be willing to take out your tooth in exchange for you doing some service for them.

Hope that helps.

Keep an eye out on the news and radio. There are several clinics that have "free" days that may be able to help.

In the mean time, you can buy "oil of clove" at Walgreens or CVS for about $6 that will kill the nerve pain immediately...it is used often in Europe by those that have tooth pain and can not afford to get it tended to immediately.

I think it is sold as "Red Cross Toothache Kit".

Looks like this: Red Cross Toothache Complete Medication Kit 0.12 oz - Pharmapacks

WONDERFUL for dry socket as well should that be an issue after getting it pulled.
