I received an "invitation" to join the Next Door Network for our neighborhood. It came in the mail and I have never heard of it. Does anyone know is this legit or is it a phishing scheme to get info. Thanks

Yup. It's legit and private. You need to prove where you live.
People talk/share new about neighborhood events, garage sales, opinions/reviews about local businesses and service providers.

It's legit and very useful for sharing info about neighborhood events, crime alerts, lost or found pets, etc.

Those invitations come in the mail because Nextdoor encourages its members to send them to neighbors who aren't on the site. I have someone on my site who is using them to try to get everyone in our neighborhood into our Nextdoor group.

Every time you refer some one to next door, both you and the person who refered you get a $25 amazon gift card.

Nextdoor must need more incentives to get neighbors to participate in your 'hood than in mine. I don't think we get that offer... or at least I don't.
