I wonder if that parking area is for public access? It looks like maybe anyone could park there. But there is no sign, so I am not sure.

Most folks parking there are kayakers using the pond. There's a fairly worn (non-official) trail leading down to put-ins on the pond. You could also hike under the parkway and connect to the unimproved Walker Ranch trails.

I drove the completed parkway yesterday afternoon, from Lockhill-Selma to Weidner, and back. Less traffic than you would likely experience on 410 or 1604 at that time of the day, it was pretty much a breeze (aside from the NW Military intersection, going BOTH directions).

I noticed several flagrant speeders along the 45mph stretch, but didn't see any enforcement present at that time.

I've used it a few times now, but I'm going from 281 all the way to Fred. Road. It obviously changes there at NW Military but it is still a thousand times better than 410. I'm not using it at peak times, though. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon I am basically alone. I like the option. Will there eventually be an on ramp from 281?

Yes they have plans for a fully directional interchange, but as we all know they are looking for a funding source....

Bitters is the only exit that allows you access to it, right ? Heading south, I mean.

It's not designated as a state highway. It's designated as an arterial street. Are there arterial streets in this city with higher speed limits?
