Does anyone have any insight on local book clubs or writing classes/workshops? What about writers groups?

They offer classes, readings, reader/feedback resource groups, and more. Their office is located near the intersection of Durango and S. Presa in Southtown, but have events all over the city.

San Antonio Writers Guild (SAWG) Official Website: San Antonio, Texas

SAWG is excellent...
They have 3 meetings per month where you can bring copies of your material, read it, and have a group critique.

The main monthly meeting is held over on the NE side, but it is worth the trip.....

The group meets at the Maverick library branch, and the Barnes & Noble store at I-10 and DeZavala....
You can check the website to see 'when' for each location....

They're a great group and I NEED TO GET BACK THERE!!! yikes... haven't been for weeks and weeks......
