I can not rent in my name alone, I wish I could. Trust me I would've done that long ago if I could. Unfortunately, most complexes won't allow anyone above the of 18 not to be named on the lease so she has to be on their.

She has two misdemeanors but for some reason one is turning up as a felony now instead of a misdemeanor. When we go to the court house to fix the problem because its not suppose to be a felony they say on their end that its still a misdemeanor and that their is nothing to fix.

Maybe she's not being honest with him.

"It's just as easy to fall in love with a nice girl as it is a bad girl."

This is going to be a problem for a while.

sorry. as someone who is married to a LEO, this just doesnt happen. was the charge upgraded later down the line? that can happen when new evidence is brought to light.

perfect example of 'dont break the law' here kids. when you break the law, this is what(rightly) happens. rarely does anyone want to rent to a felon. if it really IS a clerical error, you need to hire a lawyer ASAP. texas rio grand legal aid will help you for free if youre low income.

Ditch the convict and move wherever you prefer. Before it becomes "in sickness and and health" and all those other obligations.

For the record, that won't keep you from buying a house. I owed a complex because they threw out the condition form that I signed when I moved in, which listed the things that were damaged in the apartment when I moved in, and forged my signature on a form that said "new condition." I never paid it, and when I bought my house, it showed on my credit but didn't keep me from getting a mortgage. It wasn't a huge amount, maybe $200, and I could have paid it, but it was the principle of the thing.
