Turducken On Sale!
For those of you from a previous thread that were asking about Turducken, here is your chance.
The Walmart at 1604 & Potranco have them for sale for $7.00 each before they inventory.
Of course, they are frozen and left over from the holidays, but here is your chance to try one without spending the $$ they want for it normally.
On the End cap in the Beef section with lots of bags of shrimp, also on sale. Near the Bread isle, I think it is #1.

How do you cook it? I've been fascinated with the idea of it!

I think just in the oven like a turkey...maybe a little longer. The only time I have tried one (and was not all that impressed) it was made by someone else at a party.

Yep, just put it in a roasting pan and into the oven it goes. We did one at Christmas this year. All the carnivore's in our family enjoy it! It's not all meat, there's some rice stuffing in it as well. (At least the Tony Chachere's brand does.)
Funny story about ours ~ we had quite a bit left over and just wrapped it up on the serving platter with aluminum foil. Of course there wasn't enough room in the inside fridge, so it went into the garage fridge. My darned huge orange cat had figured out how to open the fridge to get at leftovers, so we always wedged something in between the door handles to keep him from getting in. Well, apparently somebody got into the fridge for midnight snacks and forgot the club. Came out the next morning to 4 cats in the fridge feasting on Turducken!!! Rotten cats!!

heh! Nope, jis a regular ol' orange tabby. But he is huge, and it's an older fridge, hence being the "garage" fridge. I've seen him do it ~ gets down at the bottom and uses his paw to pry it open from the bottom of the door (it's a side-by-side). Guess since it's an older one, the seal isn't as snug. Still pretty funny to watch, and wish I had had a video camera with me when I discovered the whole gang out there!
